Hinsdale Routs New Trier, 33-0

Coach Harvey Dickinson cranked up his mighty 1961 Hinsdale football machine yes terdayand what a performance he got!

Starting off a new season, the powerful Red Devils steamrollered over New Trier, 33 to 0 before 6000 highly impressed onlookers in the Indians' Winnetka stadium.

The overwhelming success against one of the Suburban league's most respected members left little doubt that Hinsdale again will rank among the elite of Chicago area high school football.

Last year, the Red Devils played a 13 to 13 tie with New Trier, then proceeded to capture the West Suburban conference championship without losing a game. They may very well duplicate the latter feat this season.

Speed is a valuable asset in football, and the Red Devils displayed a wealth of it. New Trier, on the other hand, showed a noticeable lack of it. This was mainly responsible for the Indians' ...
