Football team ends regular season on a high note

The boys varsity football team cruised to victory in their final game of the regular season at Hinsdale South on Friday, Oct. 20 by a score of 42-7.

A home playoff game was on the line for the Red Devils, so they needed a win to guarantee it.

Though the margin of victory seems substantial, the Red Devils did not get off to the start they were hoping for. Connor Bauer, senior quarterback, had his first pass intercepted by the Hornets. The team offense was also stagnant for the first few drives as they moved only 27 yards in 11 plays.

The defense did not let up though, as they did not allow a score while the offense was not moving.

Bauer bounced back after his interception with a 56-yard touchdown pass to Matt Bjorson, senior tight end, putting the Red Devils ...
