Rafferty, Devils come up to rout rival DGN 5 minute read |

FOOTBALL - Hinsdale Central senior Jason Rafferty has a reputation from his teammates as being the toughest player on the team.
So no one was surprised that the 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker missed just one game with a dislocated shoulder.
"He's the heart and soul of our defense," senior two-way standout David Lutz said after the Red Devils' 41-13 West Suburban Conference Silver Division victory over Downers Grove North Saturday. "He's the toughest kid out there. He really makes our defense function and makes a big difference."
Rafferty suffered the shoulder injury during the Red Devils' 56-42 win over Lyons Township Sept. 18 and missed the following game against Hinsdale South, but returned last week against Oak Park-River Forest.
