Pioneer Press 2019 football preview: Hinsdale Central Red Devils 3 minute read |

Coach: Brian Griffin (first season).
Last season: 8-3 (5-1 West Suburban Silver), lost to Warren 17-14 in Class 8A second round.
First-and-10: Griffin plans to use an up-tempo, multiple-formation offense that makes use of his team’s athleticism. Four players had been taking reps at quarterback as the season approached: seniors Ryan Loughlin and Charlie Huth and juniors Michael Brescia and Bennett Willman. Griffin said senior offensive tackle Kiram Amegadjie has gotten a lot of looks from colleges and had a great offseason. Amegadjie is 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, and Griffin says he’s an all-around great athlete. In the passing game, Griffin will count on senior wide receiver Braden Contreras. The Red Devils averaged 30 points per game last season.
