MIKE DIMATTEO, Head Coach, QB/RB
Since graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts, Mike has been dedicated to education of both students and players alike. This is his 21st year coaching, 9th as Head Coach with an overall record of 49-34. He coached four consecutive varsity teams in Lake Zurich to the state playoffs, led the Bears to their first ever FVC Conference title, and was selected as the 2002 Northwest Herald Coach of The Year. This is his 3rd season as Head Coach of the Red Devils, with playoff wins in both of his first 2 years. He currently teaches AP European History and World Cultures at Hinsdale Central.

GARY GAMEN, Assistant Head Coach, Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line
Gary is beginning his 22nd year as a varsity coach of both Offensive and Defensive lines and his 22nd year as a teacher of Physical Education and Drivers Education. He received a B.S. from Indiana State and a M.S from Chicago State in 1990.

JAMIE PASS, Receivers Coach, Pass Game Coordinator
Jamie is a graduate of Mankato State University (now known as Minnesota State) where he was the Quarterback from 1991-1993, and an All-American his senior season. In that year he was also 3rd in the Harlon Hill voting which is the “Heisman Trophy” for Division II football. He has also played and coached for Bolzano Jets in Italy, played Arena Football for the Milwaukee Mustangs, and played and coached for Kristianstad C-4 Lions in Sweden. Currently Jamie works for Sims Metal Management Inc. He and his wife Karin have 2 children, Maya who is 2 and Cody who is 3 months old.

TOM DORRANCE, Defensive Coordinator, Defensive Backs
Tom has been the head Varsity Baseball Coach for 8 years and has been a math teacher for 21 years. A graduate of Carthage College and Concordia University, he lives in Hinsdale with his wife, Jan, children, Tommy, Daniel, Jacob, John, and Ben, and his dog, Sumo.

NICK GEBHART, Special Teams Coordinator, Inside Linebackers
Nick is beginning his second year at Hinsdale Central as a coach and Physical Education teacher. He started out his coaching career in 2001 at Driscoll Catholic High School; assisting in winning 5 consecutive football state championships. Aspiring to different challenges, he coached at Niles North High School for one year before coming to Hinsdale Central. Nick received a B.A. from Carthage College and an M.S. from Northern Illinois University.

JOHN MELONE, Assistant Varsity Coach, Defensive Line
John received a BA from Monmouth College in Geology and an M.Ed from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. He has spent 23 years in District 86 in the Science Department teaching Earth Science and Chemistry. Beginning as a collegiate football and wrestling athlete, he has complemented his teaching career with a great deal of experience coaching football and wrestling at various high schools and colleges.

TODD KOEHLER, Outside Linebackers Coach
Todd has been coaching for 20 years at Morton High School, Riverside-Brookfield, and most recently Defensive Coordinator at Harper College. Todd graduated from Illinois State University with a B.A. in Social Sciences/History, and has his M.Ed from National-Louis University. He lives with his wife Michelle and his son Aaron.
